My 2 Cents on Buy Buy Baby....
A new baby store just opened up not too far from our home is the last few weeks called Buy Buy Baby. It has taken me a little time...but today I finally got the chance to visit. They had sent me a coupon in the mail....so of, course that motivated me to go a little faster...lol...lol
So, I entered the store...very large, well organized, clean, and many associates around the store to help you, if need be. I went in to look for another Easter dress and sweater for my daughter. I headed to the baby department...and could not located one Easter dress...an associate approached and called for some assistance on her walkie in finding the location of girls Easter dresses. The other associate came over and said "Sorry, what we have is out on the floor". They had a bunch of layette, pajamas, rompers, TONS of onsies, socks, sunglasses, summer sets, but No Easter dresses. The associate said they did just get in these solid color sweaters just the other day.....they were $27.99...and not nearly dressy enough to go with an Easter dress!! I saw a much nicer sweater at Babies R Us for just $12.99!!
I took a quick walk around the store.....they carry a lot of items!! From strollers to bottles, to baby baths, and little tikes toys, and much, much more! It is very similar to a Babies R Us....with the Expensive prices as well!!!
Needless to say, I still have my coupon in my purse...maybe I will stop in again before it expires next month...but I doubt it. I hope they do well....and prove me wrong!!

Eating Home or Out???
Which is cheaper these days?? Sometimes, for us it is a toss up! I receive the Rachael Ray magazine in the mail once a month and get so excited about checking out the recipes we can try. Something new and exciting, I am sure you know all about trying to decide what to have for dinner, right? Well, about a month ago they had a Ruben pita pizza, it just looked delicious! We just had to try it.....So I thought I would buy the ingredients at the store to make them for dinner one night.....Well, first I headed to the deli.....I needed Swiss cheese and Corned Beef.....WOW.....$12.99 a lb. and $7.99 a lb. Little pricey for my blood....I would need a lb. of the corned beef and 1/2 of the cheese....then I would need the dough, sauerkraut, mayo, ketchup, pickles, and olive oil to complete the recipe.....Guess what, for the $20 or so I would spend on the ingredients....hubby and I can go out to get 2 sandwiches and a drink at our local deli.....and then I do not even have to cook!
These days sometimes I am finding that is is just a few dollars more, or even cheaper to just eat out. I am not saying Every meal.....just some of the more expensive meals it costs to make. It also helps that when we do eat out it is almost always with a coupon!! Of, course I am sure you already knew that...lol
Other meals are way cheaper at home to make (roasts, whole chicken, spaghetti w/meatballs, burgers on the grill, taco night, chicken Cesar salads...and more).....and sometimes even tastier at home....Plus, sometimes it is a family effort to make the dinner, which is a lot of fun that no restaurant has to offer!!

The Princess's Party......
It was early yesterday morning....around 7 to be exact...and our son stormed into our bedroom in complete excitement....Why, you ask?? It was his sister's 1st birthday party yesterday!! He had been waiting all week for this day....Trust me...lol He had already helped prep the party bags, fill the Easter eggs, pick-up the party balloons, shop for the decorations, and pick out the birthday cake design. He was sooo ready to party!!
I actually think my daughter would of rather slept, instead of partying.....as you can tell in the photo.....she hated the princess tiara, thinks stocking stink...(can you blame her), really does not like the pretty dress as jeans are more her style...... BUT, she made it through....a whole party on just a 40 minute nap...I am one proud Mama!!
So, it was her first birthday party so unlike with my son, I decided to buy her a cake of her own to eat by herself....as I have seen at a few parties I have attended that is the 1st birthday ritual. (just found this out...I guess 4 years too late for my sons sake...lol) So, off with her pretty tiara, dress, sash, sweater...and on with a bib....bracing for the worst, of course! She was not a fan of the whole idea.....she just looked around at everyone like we were all NuTs!! Which we are on occasion...lol Not quite understanding why all of these people were screaming......"Dig In", "Take a Bite", "Lick it".......She stuck her finger in one time and then looked at me to wipe it OFF!! That was it...she said Mama, and reached her arms for me to hold her....No cake for her!! It was kind of funny.....at both my nephews and nieces party in the past two months...they both tore up their cakes!! Well, I guess she was looking out for her Mama...less clean-up for me!!
It was a great time.....it's kind of sad that it is all over now....a whole year has already past...exciting to see what the next year will bring.....and happy to hold on to the memories we have all made!!
