My CVS Run For Today...

Well, I just ran in real fast this morning to be sure I was able to get the Titanium Razor for hubby before they were all gone.....good thing I went at 9 am this morning!!! I got the last one, I had an inkling they would go fast!! I bought the following....

-2- Packs of CVS Premium Diapers....$8.99 for both (They are B1G1 Free this week)

Have A Stain on your Shirt??

Well, as a mom of 2 kiddies...we have our share of stains...trust me!!! Here are just a few tips to help make stain fighting just a bit easier.......

-Check Labels- read label before you start!

-Have On Hand: Make sure to stock up on Pre-treating supplies when on sale to have them on hand when need be!!

-Act Fast- Try to pretreat as soon as the stain occurs..this way you have a better chance of it not setting.

-Pretreat.....It is best to try to totally get rid of a stain before washing it!! (Man, Spray N Wash, Shout, and my cleaning toothbrush work miracles around here!!)

-Be Persistant- you may have to do more than one treatment to get the stain out!!

-Be Prepared When Out- Always carry a Stain Stick when on the go or a Stain wipe...I know my diaper bag always has one!! And it has for sure came in handy more than once!!!

-Do not dry until stain is completely gone, or you will set the stain for life.

Do you have a Gerber Lover??

Well, I do!! My daughter just loves the Gerber Graduate Fruit and Veggie Puffs, the Lil' Crunchies, and the Cereal Bars.! And I like like her to have them too...they are healthier than regular snacks and just perfectly sized for her tiny hands.....we have tried the Graduate meals, and she is not impressed....also she is not a bug fan of the Pasta Pick-ups either. I can't blame her one bit though....I tasted them myself...they both taste like bland, over salted ,mushy food. So I steer clear of these two!!! Plus, she likes to eat what we are eating at breakfast, lunch and dinner anyway.

The only downside to them is they are a bit pricey.....as my daughter is approaching 14 months now....she is eating a bit more than before and the puffs are not lasting as long. I never seem to receive coupons for the Gerber Graduate products...I always used to receive baby food and cereal coupons from them but not Graduate Products coupons (maybe once, if I remember correctly). So I decided to give them a call this past Monday. I just stated that my daughter absolutely loves the Gerber Graduates snacks and was wondering if they had any coupons they could mail me. The associate was more than nice and said sure I will get them out to you right way.

Well, today I received an envelope from Gerber..inside was a nice little note, two $1.00 off ANY Gerber product coupons...and $10 worth of coupons for various Gerber Graduates products. I am very impressed. I will be able to use about $6.00 worth of the coupons and that is very exciting!! So, do you have a Gerber lover?? Are you low on coupons?? If so why not give them a call at 1-800-4-GERBER. They also do have a website but I choose to call them, as I think you get better, faster results speaking to someone verses an email...Just my 2 cents!!

P.S. Not sure if you know or not, but Walmart makes Parents Choice Brand of the fruit and veggie puffs. I have purchased them in the past and my daughter can not seem to tell the difference!!! They are about 50-75 cheaper than Gerber Puffs.

Gardening Time is Here!!!

Yeah!! I am totally so excited!!! I just love to garden....planting flowers, seeing the pretty flowers bloom, spending time outside, it means the warm weather is here!! (I really do enjoy the simple things!) Well, last night my mom (whom I learned all my gardening skills, thanks mom)came over and gave me a hand splitting & transplanting some liarope (a border perennial). They were too big for the spot I had them in and needed to be split. We spent about 2 hours out there...trimming them, splitting them, re-planting them, and making them look great!!

My son was a huge helper, as always when playing in the dirt...lol lol He is definitely all boy in the dirt department!! He was helping us dig the holes and enjoyed just plain old being a boy in dirt, really. He just loves it when it is time for me to start gardening...and I love it to! We get a lot of gardening bonding time together. Plus, he is so proud of his hard work when we are finished too!! A sense of accomplishment for the both of us!!!

Well, after splitting the plants and replanting a few in a few different spots...we realized we were going to have alot left over. What to do with them was the next problem, as I would hate to see them thrown away. They really are a great plant to have and see bloom. So, I headed over to my neighbor's house and offered some to her...she was so delighted!!! And excited too!! I have a few more left that she could not use...so I will offer them to my other neighbor, and if she declines will list them on freecycle.

I remember last year received about 6 hostas plants from a lady who just said they were overcrowding her yard in one spot. I was so excited...I had the perfect spot for them right beside our pond out back. They were 3 different varieties as well...one variety I had never even seen before! And guess what, they are just starting to sprout up again....I noticed them poking threw the soil today. Can't wait to enjoy seeing them again all summer! They were so pretty!!

Do you need a few plants for your yard?? Well before you run out to Home Depot, or Lowe's or the nursery.....check Freecycle, or ask your neighbors..(we are always swapping plants between us), or even try Craislist. You never know what someone no longer has a use for that you would love to give a home too!!

Make Your Own Warm Delights!!!

Have you ever had a Warm Delights dessert bowl?? They are the ones in the bakery isle that come with all the ingredients ...all you do is add water, mix and microwave and Walla!! A quick, easy and very yummy dessert!! Great for when someone stops by for dinner unexpected and would love to have dessert.

Well, they are about $2 or so for one dessert bowl....so way not make your own?? It is very simple to do!!

In a small microwaveable bowl mix 1/4 cup cake mix (any flavor you like)and 2 tsb water and mix well with a spoon. Then microwave for 1min 30 sec. You can then top with a scoop of ice cream, a drizzle of chocolate syrup, or even a dollop of whipped cream.

You can even add in a few walnuts before cooking, or a few mini chocolate chips too if you'd like. Make it to how you like it!! Experiment a bit!!

Printable Crafts for the Kiddies

My son is big into making crafts these days!! He just loves to make something so that when Daddy gets home he can show it off!! Plus, he loves to make crafts to put in his sisters room as well!!! If we are not heading out to the library for story time/crafts, or to playgroup, or to the mall for crafts, or out for the day, I always make sure I have a craft printed for that day. He knows now, if we have a home day...it's craft day as well!!

I try to vary the crafts, some require gluing, some cutting, some a bit more involved that others, some tracing, and more. This way he is not board of the same thing everyday!! I also try to make them season and holiday appropriate as well!! Who has interest in making a Turkey craft in July???? lol lol

I have a few sites I visit regularly to get craft printables, ideas and more....I only use the FREE printables....or use ideas to make some of the more involved crafts I see. Maybe you have a preschooler that is just as interested in crafts as my son. These are a few of my favorites.....
