It happens sometimes.....your favorite bath towel just losses it's softness, or maybe is getting a bit thin, or perhaps it got stained, or is terribly faded. No need to throw it in the trash!! What do we do with old bath towels....reuse them!! How you ask? We cut them into smaller towels and use them outdoors for various things. Perhaps for wiping a door jam, or to use as a towel when outdoors (Hubby always uses one during an oil change), or even to wipe down patio furniture, or the kiddies picnic table. We keep a stack in the garage, and a stack in the shed outback. This way wherever we may be outdoors....we always have easy access to a towel if the nedd should arise. It just seems that something is always spilling, leaking, or dirty......LOL LOL
If we are able to we will wash them and reuse....however oil towels, or yucky ones are always thrown away!! I was quite surprised one day when Hubby wanted to buy a Bag of Rags at Walmart (Yes, they actually do sell a abag of rags!!) to keep in the garage......they were over $5.00!!! So now we just make our own!!!
What do you do for rags?? Do you buy them or make your own?

Sorry about the Mr. Linky problem and thanks for letting me know. It's fixed now!
YEs, I too, make my own rags. We also save our old sheets and pillowcases and use them in the living room for our throw pillows and sofa covers. We let the dogs have free reign over the sofas during the day and when they are covered with sheets it saves clean up time when company comes over. Just pull off the sheets and you have a clean, pet hair free place to sit!
