Summer Reading Fun!!!

I know my Little Man just loves books!! He loves to listen to them and loves to read stories to others he has memorized almost completely from listening to them being read to him time after time. Each week we make our weekly trip to the library so he can get some new books, a PC game or 2, and also a movie. He even knows that Wednesday is library day and looks forward to it!!

In the summer is great since our local library has a Reading Program. You just sign up your kiddies and they give you a tote full of age appropriate books for your kiddies to read and keep a log of it. Of course, for your preschooler you read to them and they listen. It is free and a good way to keep reading even throughout the summer.

Commerce Bank is also offering a Summer Reading program this year. All your kiddies have to do is read 10 books, fill out this brochure and they will receive $10 in a Young Savers Account (new or already opened). You can click here for more details.

Barnes and Nobles also has a Summer Reading Program too. In their program the kiddies have to read 8 books of their choice and then write in a journal their favorite part of each story. Then take the completed journal to a local B&N store, and receive a coupon for a FREE book from a list of some great paperback titles.

Do you know of any other great summer reading programs for this summer?? If so please share...we'd love to know!
